May Update
Hello!
Thinking on our worldwide communities and how air, soil, water, the living and food need to be front and focus. The trade deal TPP, TTIP and others threaten our sovereignty. These items are not often the common citizen's concerns. But they are my concerns. So I have joined my community and we are gathering to address these worries. For you fans, I have multitasked a bit and added part of the song 'WHERE' to our promotional campaign. Enjoy.

This May 23rd we are marching for FOOD JUSTICE.
This is your continued invitation to cultivate change and plant seeds of community activism.
The following is our update on your regional NWNJ gathering to March Against Monsanto, The Food Matters March, on May 23rd in Sparta, NJ organized by Wendie Goetz and Erin Shroll.
Our mission is to educate, and inform NJ that Food Matters, and to empower all to speak the truth regarding all threats to our Food.
We are very excited that we have received final permits from Sparta Township!
The press release says it all! Here is an excerpt.
------- In Sparta, NJ the March and effort continues on May 23rd. The Food Matters March will begin at The Sparta Municipal Building, 65 Main St, with a food drive for the local food pantry at 12:00 pm. The organizers applaud participants who arrive with their offerings of good food to share with the community.
At 12:30 pm speakers, including Jim Walsh of Food & Water Watch, NJ and NJ Assembly candidates, will be following this challenge to fill the farmer’s truck!
The parade will gather into the nine contingencies: Food, Seeds, MAM, Soil, Bees, Butterflies, Water, Air, and Trade/TPP with their associated colors, puppetry, banners, and posters.
Then the parade will start near 1:15 pm and go from Sparta’s Municipal Building, at 65 Main St, to the Sparta Post office corner of Route 181. At Route 181 we will follow signs and gather again in Dykstra Park, behind the Sparta Public Library. Forward tents, speakers, ‘wondering’ minstrels, a puppet contest, forward flyers and offerings from many organizations will be held at Dykstra Park.
Seeds of inspiration will be shared throughout until 4:00 pm.
We aim to have our ‘communities’ carry them forward from that point on.
Many NJ and other regional organizations and businesses have joined the Food Matters March and the conversation concerning our food, such as Food & Water Watch, Genesis Farm, Environment New Jersey, Air, Soil, Water (Milford, PA), Salon Fig, Transitions Newton & NW NJ Timebank, Friends of the Medicine Wheel, and Skylands Group New Jersey Sierra Club.
Other state and national sponsors include Climate Action NJ, Moms Across America, NOFA-NJ, Baker Creek Seeds, GMOfree NJ, ClimateMama, The Mothers Project, and Moms Clean Air Force and are also lending support for the March on May 23rd.
Our local Sussex and Warren County leaders, including The Foodshed Alliance, CSG @ Genesis Farm, Harmony Starts, Sussex County Food Co-op, Sparta Farmers Market, School Lunch Farm, edible Jersey, and The Delaware Riverkeeper Network, will also be marching in support of real food for real people.
Everybody loves a parade! Everyone is what they eat.
Don’t you agree that Food Matters?
We are concerned for seven generations forward.
To change everything, we need everyone on board.
See you in Sparta on May 23rd from 12:00-4:00pm.
