Heading out on the road before legal driving age, Whitley wandered the dusty roads and deserts of Australia. Refusing the ties of the respectable citizen saw him drift from coast to coast. Move in, rock out, move on. The experiences have lent all the knowledge of an aging love-torn highwayman, with all the grace of a slow dance with Fred and Ginger.
Whitley is only just beginning to step into his spot light. Hand picked to Calexico on their sold out national Australian tour earlier this year, his powerful voice, unique yet warm and familiar, and a charming on stage charisma quickly converted audiences into believers and devotees.

Whitley’s debut album, The Submarine, is due out Sept 15th 2007.
