Biography



Rising Billboard Artiste Whitter The Legend, born Kevoy Whitter, birth place in Spanish Town close to the city of Kingston where music was at his back door so to speak.

He then move to St Ann at the age of three where he attended Pineapple Basic School, then Ocho Rios Primary, moving on to Ocho Rios High. He was always active in music at school and church. At church he was on the Sunday school choir as a lead singer leading up to youth choir, national choir and the great 200 voices with travel the Island to spread the gospel. In his high school he sing at devotions and also take part in music & drama even though Foods & Nutrition & Management was his major.

After leaving high school he start hanging around his friends who played musical instruments and they encourage him to record a song and also to come in the hotel industry and sing at nights. He did his first recording session with a live band with is first official song “Let Me Hold You”. This encourage his writing skills and he started to record his self on laptop which help him to grow a fan base.

Shortly after his close friend passed of who introduced him to music on a professional basis and he moved to Montego Bay where he attended Sam Sharpe Teachers College. It was there where he then found more love in performance art and joint the choir, which win many medals on an international level. He then decided due to his popularity to start keeping concerts there, singing songs from one of his favorite artiste Usher. This was done by having other acts and a charge of $250 for regular and $500 VIP, at this time he goes by the name K-Stylez aka Chocolate. Whenever there was any big function at the College he was a must booked performer for the ladies.

By that time he had about ten (10) songs recorded which was on his Reverbnation channel and heavy rotation in the College. He started keeping parties and after leaving become a popular and successful promoter for events like Rum Flood, Code Black, Te Amo, Dice Pineapple and (expired link) weekend. He also ventured in marketing where he run a TV program called Jamdung Spotlight and work closely with studios producing, writing songs and marketing their artistes. He worked with artistes like Tommy Lee, Blade Skeemaz, Rhym Minister, One Pop, Rickey Teetz, Persia, Destiny Sparta, Chavez Illmatiq, Kalado, Nature Ellis and Singing Meloday etc…

After a few years of doing marketing, management, event production and producing he decided to go back to his first love which is singing and performing and used what he has learn to launch him to the next level along with his skill set of networking. He also bring to all promoters who book him a tremendous strong promotional package. This was a big deal because he was also the CEO for an event app called Dparty App or Destination Party App, which his mentor and partner is the legendary Singing Melody along with two friends.

In 2016 is was when he was place on one of the biggest stage ever in St Ann at an event called St Ann Jerk Festival, this was a crowd of over 6000 people and big name artiste like iOcatane, Vershon, Charley Backs, Dario etc... It was at this event many see him as now back and ready for the stage, he was immediately booked for the next giant event Shakies Seafood Festival. It was at this event after performing he got a lot of request from producers and promoters.

By 2017 he did Whitter the Legend & Friends Live in Concert at Mongoose Restaurant and Lounge Ocho Rios main street St Ann. This was greatly attend by many upcoming artistes and headliners Singing Melody and Nature Ellis along with him as the main artistes of the night. This was a prestige red carpet event, that producers and artistes was also awarded.

In 2018 he has put in to place to release his EP’s title “Emerged” & “Bedroom Choir” along with his College Tour around the Island and Caribbean. There will be a few singles released with him that he did with few upcoming producers and also major players as well and video releases.
