Quiet? NOT! Never … So, me thinks I’m going to set things off a bit by uploading for You at Number One Music five additional original acoustical tracks from my collection “Facing the Sun”: Driving the Ghost, Stripes, Ception, Alternate Source and The Night.

These tracks were recorded open mic on a Sony PCM D50 … a bit different from the flip-flop of a formal studio. Plus, add the wee hours of the morning, and squeeze a Martin, listen and feel and you can be amazed at what you find.

I included the lyrics so you might enjoy some of the body as well as the music, and do hope you enjoy. It’s a bit different from my other offerings, no crazy electric rift raft, no pianos or drums or boom boom boom of a bass … just a soul and a guitar.

Here I go again, hoping to explain why I am so BAD at my social media duties. No excuse, I’m just Bad! … Not really, and the only possible apology or excuse for my lack of lighting up FaceBook or letting my Twitter Tweet is some more music to offer up.

NOIRE BLU is some from the next installment of Will Charles Music, two new original tracks with lyrics, “Noire Blu” and “Up and Over”. In presenting new music with the lyrics, I hope to invite the listener to take that added adventure into lyrical story. One more button to push, another slice of the pie to taste, may just be an added adventure of thought, to add to your body’s musical responses.

As an Added Little Adventure …

I’m working on bringing back “Live at the Warehouse”. I’ve previously released live sessions from the Warehouse Studio here in Kauai which were great live performances of original music with some real talent … Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Reggae … even some Who’s Who??

To my Friends and musical confidants, the listeners of Number One Music,

If you can feel something missing, honor your senses, we all are missing something that is no longer in our little World.

A life with and now without DAVID BOWIE. I am feeling compelled to share a thought or two about this person who, without warning, came into our lives and changed many of us, if not ALL of us, forever. You can look around at this world and barely remember what it looked like when Bowie came into our senses. Who would have thought that what was to be was a biological and metaphysical metamorphous for music, art, fashion, and social identity fusions. I can’t begin to explain how his music and spirit impacted me personally, for I had no idea the effect, in reflection, his passing was to have on me. I truly feel I have lost a special friend and never had the change to say good-bye. I myself have over my years had something crawling around, this music, a music that won’t go away. It whispers loudly and have only in these past few hours realized the permission that Mr. Bowie presented to those like me to be me. So, I remember, we were and still are Pretty Things and having a Moonage Daydream and learning the Width of a Circle. I’m full of reflection and feeling the loss of someone who really moved the dust. A kindred sprint whose presence will be missed and for me is felt. A final thought; I truly hope that we find in our world, our hearts, our ears, and our Souls, more Champions of Light like David Jones aka David Bowie, who will brighten us up, light up our imaginations, connects us to ourselves and each other, and speak to the brilliance and mortality of our being and not the petty nature of a confined experience.

To you, the listeners of Number One Music and musicians and artists, I hope will not let the creativity and spark of his light go out. Take it and feed on it. Remember that his light has already brighten your creative path, so sharpen your ears to hear the call of the next stars of real creativity and demand more than just the same old same old.

Aloha N1M Audience and Fans!

“Facing the Sun” is a somewhat different offering of Will Charles Music. Some of these new tunes are very much a raw acoustical collection of music with many of the songs recorded without the assistance of the electrical thing, just getting some real things afloat. It’s easy to lean on a studio and the turning things up. Loud is easy but magic can happen when things get stripped down and you feel it, at the root.

I hope you find these new tunes inviting. The entire package of Facing the Sun is about nine new tracks so this is a small sampling. For those of you who love lyrics they are included with these tracks. So, I hope you get comfortable with a bit of your favorite something, pull up a speaker or two, and give these an ear and heart pull.

And, Update…

The 180-gram Vinyl Release of “Ever is Now” is moving along with the final mastering by Cauliflower Audio Mastering in Cleveland, OH, and we will keep you up as to dates. In a few weeks we will be accepting pre-orders. Dance and Romance with the A&B sides of ten great originals songs and includes a stitched-in 12-page full size booklet of the lyrics and artwork.

Always appreciate the feedback and support I have been receiving from my fans and listening audience, and to those who have joined my Network, a very special thank you for sharing and promoting my music. I really hope you Will find your way to collect an Album, add it to your collection, or, maybe it’s time to start that record collection? A Will Charles 1stRun Pressing might be a great way to go, in either case.

Working on it, working on it… No, NO, Not just a couple of new tunes, it’s ten tracks mastered and on really cool VINYL!

But, first let me say again a special thank you to the listeners of Number One Music. Much inspiration comes from you all and your support. It’s really good for this heart so, thanks, again.

So, the new project and soon to be released is my record album named “Ever is Now”. New tracks on 180-gram vinyl and a 12-page booklet of the Lyrics stitched into the Album Jacket makes for a 12-inch Gem. Lots of dance, romance, and only original music from yours truly, Will Charles.

We will keep you updated as to the release date and have been working out the details for shipping international, since you ladies and gentlemen really do live and play internationally.

The release will be through MARVELETT Records © and, with your help, if this gets off the ground, we hope to release more vinyl soon after.

Oh my goodness, Thank You, the listening audience of Number One Music! You, this Worldwide Group of Eclectic Music Audience, have really put a smile in my heart by letting me put some music in your ears. I have gotten some great emails from so many from all over this planet. It is sometimes amazing to think that my music found its to way to you.

I’ve been back in the studio and there’s more to be revealed, some great material in the tube. For now, I have up-loaded a few more tracks for your playlist and enjoyment. Two tracks from “Ever is Now”, Full Moon and Night Patrol, and two tracks from “Facing the Sun”, Wormwood and Sin Condiciones with a blush of moody Spanish vocals from Zoila. Enjoy!

Oh my Goodness… the listeners of Number One Music are Off the Chain and have helped keep Will Charles at the top of the charts. And, with N1M reaching a worldwide audience, for a musician who creates from the heart you all have filled mine. Thank You!

Some of you have told me you miss a few of your favorites, so I have uploaded all the missing tunes from my CDs Audio Alchemy, Harmonic Fructus, and Music for the Mentally Impaired.

I have not been quiet either, just can’t do that! So, if you listen carefully you might hear the rumblings at “The Warehouse”, my studio here in Kauai. Sixteen new original tunes should shake it up a bit. New dance tunes, a bit of musical romance, even a few packaged for soundtracks, all coming soon.

Music these days has many creative voices and you the audience of N1M are musicians as well. You can sing loudly for those artists you like, email, blog, call your radio station and let them know who we are, the unknown artist that you listen too. It’s only your voice, the audience that can make the biggest difference to guys like me, a songwriter who loves music and his fans. Heck, call Rolling Stone, they need some new faces in their shrinking publication. So, if there’s someone you love and like, that new sound stuck in your head, or a great tune with a new voice, let yours be heard. That’s music!

In the beginning ... it was Blue all over and we were sad cause No Music, so it was the Blues … So, from deep in the universe, Gosh blasted the Rock to Earth. It hit Adam and on the Head and it Rolled … then it was Rock and Roll … Then the Blue Note got off on the improvisation of the polyrhythms and Eve, she swung a hip note, and it was Jazz … Adam looked at Eve and was in a Trance and Romance had truly given birth and the Heavens rejoiced for All the Alternatives for music from the elements …
