About Will Morris

Will Morris began his musical career early in life. He has worked on the road with backup musicians for the Fifth Dimension, Marvin Gaye, and Miles Davis. He has performed with Steve Roach, Bhagavan Das, Jimmy Smith, and Narada recording artists. His recordings include children's records, Steve Roach's Now, Quiet Spaces, and Traveler. Will's recordings on Hydrogen Records include Helios Rising and Helios Attunement.

Helios Attunement is a sonic montage that explores the depths of consciousness through 'resonant theurgy' and mystical numerical constructs, such as the Yi Jing and the Fibonacci series. Resonant theurgy is the use of time cycles to perform a musical piece or conduct a form of spiritual ritual. For instance, the piece 'Sothic Vector' is based on a grand time cycle according to the Egyptian calendar.

'Touchstone' is a piece based on numerical constructs. The musical patterns are generated by transposing the hexagrams of the Yi Jing on the Mayan calendar after the work of José Argüelles. I have tested this music in clinical settings for efficacy in healing environments. Another example is Spring Thaw, recorded on the spring equinox in 1987. The first piece on the CD involves recording a Reiki Attunement, while attunement, a healing initiation, was recorded. These vibrations come through the recording and enhance healing work of all kinds.
