Professor Louie & The Crowmatix chose four songs for this EP named Rockin’ Legacy Vol. 1, from the artists they played, recorded and worked with, creatively re-imagining and developing new Roots Rock versions of these Classic tunes.
1. Atlantic City: Professor Louie – vocals/keys/accordion/ - Torchbearer of the true spirit of American Roots Music. Co-Produced, engineered & performed on The Bands’ version of this song on their comeback album Jericho. Louie’s performance on Atlantic City takes the tune to a new level.
2. Another World: Gary Burke - drums/percussion - recorded and toured with Joe Jackson & Bob Dylan. - great rhythms & new groove by Gary Burke, tremendous accordion performance and lead vocal by Prof. Louie, stellar guitar work by John Platania.
3. Like A Rolling Stone: Miss Marie - vocals/percussion - recorded and performed with Levon Helm, Rick Danko & The Band who were closely affiliated with Bob Dylan. Miss Marie puts a distinctive rockin’ twist on one of Bob Dylan’s most famous songs.
4. I’ve Been Workin’: John Platania - guitar/vocals - Over the past five decades, John recorded, toured, performed, co-wrote songs with Van Morrison. I’ve Been Workin’ is
an exciting new take with John Platania’s exceptional guitar work and backing vocals of
Miss Marie & Professor Louie. Frank Campbell - bass/vocals - Levon Helm’s Music Director with The Woodstock All-Stars, performed and recorded with The Band.
