XMRV is a Scottish - Slovakian - Norwegian quartet based in Glasgow, UK. Our style is mostly reffered as experimental hardcore or avantgarde metal. XMRV is a Scottish - Slovakian - Norwegian quartet based in Glasgow, UK. Name of the band comes from a virus allegedly related to illnesses such as central fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia what is giving us medical image.
Our musical philosophy is based on energy release supported by crossing genres. Influences of the band span from noise rock, math core to drum'n'bass, latin or even free improv. All packed with groove and energy as much as the line-up of vocals-guitars-bass-drums allows us to have.
Our international background facilitated us a couple of small tours in Europe so far. At the moment we are doing final touches to our debut album called Dis-immunized which we aim to promote globally.
