About Xvektor
Xvektor began as an experimental collaborative project for creating abstract tone and rhythm compositions. Utilizing synthesizer, guitars, voices, violin, computer software and various other sound generating and processing devices, the collaborative mixes elements of excess with minimal elements to create structures that seem chaotic, alien and familiar simultaneously. Progressive Chaos.
The unit began with Robbie Atkins and Alan Dean making weird noises with guitar and a MicroMoog synthesizer. As we got more into things, we added collaborators. Jeff McLeod brought a minimalist, weird noise background to the project. Then Steve Thomas started adding his wacked out, classical guitar insights. Then online relationships with like minded musicians from around the globe started forming, and we had new collaborators in the form of David Briggs from England, and Zozimo and Adrianne Rech from Brazil, and they rounded out our collaborative.
