Raised in a pot pourri culture in the US (Father from Bombay India, and mom from Porto Rico), Yasmin grew up and studied piano in a down beat San Francisco environment. Deeply influenced by movies and pop from the seventies, Paul McCartney, classical music and rock she combines all these currents in her own songs with a strong emotional drive. As a female songstress she describes her female condition with irony, rage, hope, love and also a lot of humour!
