About Y-Town Lyricists

'Black J' Bio:

I was born in Oakland, CA on August 25th but raised in Yuma, AZ.
I've always been involved with music by influence from two forms of dancing, Breakdancing and C-walking. I grew up listening to a wide range of music which helped created my pursuit of happiness through music. I've been writing since seventh grade. I use to start writing when I would be emotionally stressed or bored with class and would start by taking every last word of what teachers said and making up randomn sentences. And that's where it started, I showed another student and he laughed, that's when I knew I could do things that people would look at and like. Years passed by and in my freshman year I wrote a poem entitled, "Yours, Mines, and Ours" that was motivated by my first girlfriend in high school and eventually was published in a book.

My first demo entitled "My Birth Or My Death", in which I am currently working on, is an explanation of my emotion about life after high school, also when I lost my only job despite my downfalls and accomplishments. My songs vary from hardcore rap, RnB, Hip Hop and everything in between. I still have much to learn and also
