About Zach Caruso
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Zach Caruso has spent the last 12 years making music that's done one thing consistently, and very well: Fly under most people's radar. But that's great news for you, because if you're here listening to his songs, you're automatically part of the really cool, hip crowd who knows about his music before he sells his soul for fortune and fame and starts making synth-pop and wearing skinny jeans.
"To be clear, I'm not going to sell my soul and make synth-pop or wear skinny jeans," Caruso assures after reading the opening of this bio. "Unless I'm offered a lot of money. Then I will do all of those things unapologetically. But don't put that part in the bio."
Zach has opened for national and Grammy-nominated acts at some of the east coast’s top venues including World Café Live, The Trocadero Theatre, and Hard Rock Café in Philadelphia, The Stone Pony in New Jersey, Webster Hall in New York, and The Grand Opera House in Delaware. In addition, he has had his music featured on radio stations such as 93.3 WMMR and Gashouse Radio in Philadelphia, Butterflies Radio in Hollywood, Florida, and has been featured in Skope Magazine, as well as Jamsphere Magazine & Radio and NBT Music Radio.
In 2019, Zach really leaned into the whole "I'm an indie DIY artist" thing and built a small home studio to begin recording, mixing and mastering his own music. His band members and musician friends have joined the project, and new music is slated to begin being released in the winter of 2020, with new singles coming every few weeks throughout the year.
"The fact of the matter is, no one really listens to full records anymore," Caruso says. "So I decided to embrace the idea of recording and releasing singles every 2-3 months from now until either I run out of music or I die or I get offered a ton of money to make synth-pop. Where do you buy your skinny jeans, by the way?"
In addition to his music, Caruso also has a master's degree in writing and communications, and spends his days during 9-5 hours running his businesses and trying to avoid Zoom meetings.
