A review of Zap & The Wires number Heartbeat
A review of Zap & The Wires number Heartbeat by Artey Williams. Fabulous country guitar introduction and the fabulous voice of Cadie Calhoun, there you go Ive found out who you are.Theres a lot of rocking going on and Cadie shows the versatility of her vocal adapting to a more raunchy tone. All in all this track also showcases the versatility of the band, they are so tight together, drumbeats perfect tempo and time leading the rest of the band through the song, it makes such a difference to vocal and instrumentalists if the drummer is there with you. Awesome guitar too, I could compare it to so many greats out there but the comparison doesn't matter when its the quality that matters and this guitarist oozes it. Great job again guys, keep safe

Classic Country Rock
"Heartbeat" by Zap & The Wires is a delightful nod to the classic country rock genre, infused with a modern twist. The song's production quality shines with good mixing, ensuring each instrument sits perfectly in the mix, complementing the overall sound without overpowering the vocals. The arrangement is indeed typical of country rock, with a comfortable familiarity that fans of the genre will appreciate. The easy chord progression and simple melody are reminiscent of the genre's roots, making it accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience. These elements work together to create a track that's both nostalgic and fresh. Vocally, the lead singer's timbre does evoke memories of Tom Petty, with a raw and expressive quality that carries the emotional weight of the lyrics. The voice is the centerpiece of the song, delivering the heartfelt lyrics with an authenticity that resonates with the listener. Lyrically, the song paints a picture of love's comforting and uplifting power. Phrases like "I wake up in the morning to the sound of your heartbeat" and "A thousand Angels on the head of a pin" use vivid imagery to convey the depth of emotion and connection between the protagonists. The lyrics are poetic yet straightforward, allowing listeners to easily find their own meaning and connection to the song.

Sing out please.
Well played and well produced, a usual. But the song doesn't really kick. There is not much emotion and not much dynamics here, the lead voice is always quite close to the basic tone, sometimes it goes up one or two notes, and sometimes it goes down one or two tones, but that's it. More spoken than sung. And I am missing a chorus to sing along, something that stays in my ear and brain after listening. The voice as such sounds pretty good. Would have been nice to really hear her sing with passion and emotion. A good fundament is there.

A new sound in this Country Rock song with a unique this vocal talent combined with some smashing lyrics. A song about First Love and That Kiss! I can't fault the instrumental since the music keeps great time with the words and brings these lyrics to life. Really resonates with the heart about true love. Amazing fiddle and guitar instrumentals. First class recording and production Zap & The Wires. You have a great brand sound, just getting better with every song. So Five Stars again.

Great Song
Well i would like to tell you that i like xour song all in all. What is special youre verses are all individual ,only little nuances and very "small" changes in the melody, but i like this very much. Then in the Chorus its liekit should be in a good composed pop song: The SUN IS SHINING WITH ITS FULL POWER! Really cool ! Okay thats i want to tell you about your song and i hope you can deal with it ;). Many grettings from northern germany, Judith M, Schwerin, Germany

I like the vocals and the feel of the song. Nice punchy guitar and the Bass is right where it should be. The vocal harmony works well. The drums are recorded just right. The lyrics are fun for this song. keep it up.

my thoughts
Thanks so much for sharing your music. I really like your sound. On this song I personally think it could of been mixed better. The vocals need to be more out front. Or maybe its the distortion on the guitar thats covering them up. Hard to tell as I listen. Not hearing very much of the bottom end as well. It all sounds a little thin. With that being said its a good song, well written of what I could hear. As usual the band is tight. Keep up the good work.

HEARTBEAT
I like this song... very good lyrics and pretty darn good recording .I think your voice is great I do belive your voice could cut thru the mix a little more .Putting it a little more up front in the mix...Thats what you get for having a nice voice.I allways strive to get a little more power in the hook .Weather it be a little volume or adding another instrument .Over all I think its a great song keep on keeping on !!!

Heartbeat review
This is kind of a cool tune that has some nice parts. I first listen to the song and then I listen a second time while reading the lyrics and that is where you lose me a little. The song has good potential but you need to go back in and work on the lyrics a bit. I don't know if it's the phrasing or maybe the wording, but certain areas don't flow a smoothly as I'd like to hear them flow. Possibly too many words in some of the lines that could be shortened to allow the singer to attack it a little more relaxed and not as rushed as she appears here and there. A little less may give her the chance to sing easier and open up the song's track more. Good solo also. Keep em coming!
