My kind of music that sooths the soul, Great Louisiana Sound 'Raleigh Rock' Lacks a little punch in some places, need some extra compression especially on the bridge, needs to really punch the bridge, it will revitalise the whole song as it seems to pace all along at the same constant. The recording otherwise is great and the song is too! Good vibe all through and the Lyrics. Typical 'down & Out' southern Country Bluegrassy style song. All in all I really like it. Burton Trent .

I don't want to oversell this but HOLY CRAP I liked this a lot! I loved the music, I loved the fiddle, I loved the understated background music that perfectly suits this vocal. This was not perfect by any means but the overall potential for a huge classic song like Hank Jr. is here. Maybe A country boy can survive meets Daddy won't sell the farm. My reviewing is terrible because I know there is something missing to make this song perfect but I'm not sure what it is. Maybe I'm too judgemental. Go ahead and love this.

Overall song is good. Some pointers to make it great. Back round vocals would have really lifted the choruses. Those extra voices really make a track pop and clearly define the verse from the chorus. Voice fluctuation with high energy makes the lyric more believable. Every good lyric needs the proper emotion to make it believable. As a producer this generally happens when a song has been over rehearsed. It loses a bit of the "heart" and becomes more of the "rules" . The musicians were spot on and there is a unique blend. Some drum fills would also add to the beat. The writer did a great job with lyrics and phrasing was OK. Keep working at it. I'm looking forward to hearing more. Good Luck.

This is different from your normal love songs and stuff, a story about a guy who goes to live in the woods instead of the average mans life. Where did freedom go? Some great instruments, I especially like the violin riffs.

Nice little tune great picking in this tune and smooth fiddle work! Vocals are framed by the fiddle and squeezes out every drop of the feeling a nice little tune that requires you to go back and listen again because there is so much in it you can’t catch it all in one pass ! Overall good song. It has a catchy melody and the vocals is a good fit. The violin fades a little abruptly but otherwise has a good sound and placement. Daddy Had A Still is a good song and worth listening to again.

This is a really nice flowing song. Very laid back with a cool 'sitting on the back porch' kind of feel. Nice fingerpicking guitar and fiddle give this song such an easy groove and sets up the stage for your vocals. The storyline is very interesting and blends well with the track to create that backhills kind of song. All in all, a really good song. Keep em coming!
