Rare, Brilliant and Unforgettable

It’s impossible to fake authenticity and true heart in an artist. Within the first few seconds of the song the voice, so clear and profound it’s absolutely unforgettable. Multifaceted and layered in its natural dimension this voice sent chills up my legs and straight into my soul. The production has a Floyd like reminiscent sound that I personally felt was a necessary for such a talent. When you have a true storyteller who has lived through pain and knows how to commute, bells and whistles are not necessary. I would give anything to see this song live with just an acoustic. As far as the length of the song which I noticed the artist was concerned about and pertaining to commercialism the rule is always three minutes and 30 seconds to five minutes. That’s just good etiquette for radio, standard, well as copyright . I was so taken in by the quality of the singing that I probably could’ve listened to it for an hour and not noticed. It’s Heartbreakingly beautiful and should be played absolutely everywhere for everyone. I think it crosses all genres. I can see it at a pub with dark corners or at a giant music festival in Germany. I could listen to it driving down the road, I can see it in a movie, I can see people living their life to it. It’s a conversation and it’s. I think it’s rare I think this artist is rare and I can’t wait to see what else they have to offer. I am grateful I was able to hear it and witness its brilliance. I don’t like to compare original work to any other artist because I think like people we are all unique. However I do here hey Chris Cornell quality within your writing that is so adored and missed on this planet that it’s imperative you get this out to as many people as you can. Shine Star.. kinda derivitive

I actually like you guys, but my critique of this after hearing several of your songs has to be a lot harsher. I don't know how long you've been together as, or how long you were, or are a cover band. You still are looking for your own identity. This song is very u2ish, vox too much bonoeque. The other song I've critiqued of you were all good ( I like this , and no I don't think it's too long , kinda like "bad" by u know who ) but that's IS the problem ....who are YOU , good vox , good musicianship , good songs , good arrangements ...but too derivative of other people ...so you guys could always get five stars , if you became you ...instead of still searching for that .

Love this epos

Well, in times when I started to listen to rock music back in the 70s, a "long song" was a must have on nearly every LP. Status Quo, Wishbone Ash, Nazareth, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Blue Öyster Cult...all of them had long songs, and I loved these. Your epos is not even artificially prolonged by endless instrumental solo parts or a 1:30 intro or whatever the old guys used to stretch their songs. It is what it is, a story to be told, to me it doesn't get boring at all. I could sing along with the chorus even in the first round of listening. The simple but hypnotic piano pattern has its effect as well. "Fire" might not be the first candidate for radio airplay, but it definitely is a song worth to be published on an album. Super.

Upkey soft rock. Good production

This song to me, was like listening to Cold Play but without the nostalgia. Good vocal and all fits together sound wise. I prefer this music than what the radio does with those chords. Length offers a lot but a lot of treasured sections in the back end of the song. Just needs a little editing to pull out and sew together all the best parts. Enjoyable listen

Long, But... Worth It!!!

Not gonna lie, the song is dope BUT.... This song is long!!! I loved it but have mercy lol. Great arrangement, great lyrics and sound. The length of the song gives me the vibes of the 70s music where the meaning of LP was true. It was indeed a LP but I enjoyed it. Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing more, but hopefully the music I review next will be shorter than this song. (Chuckles) Cheers!!!

Very cool!

This track has an awesome mix and the chorus is soaring. Very cool vocal treatment with the delay as well. Overall it’s a little slow but this song kinda reminds me of a Duff Mckagen type of song. This one song is about the length of 2 modern songs but that’s part of what makes this great. The song builds nicely from the beginning to the end. Very emotional moving melody. A nice break from the normal routine of cookie cutter songs. Keep it up!

Good Example What to Avoid

Boring song, bad arrangement, bad sound, bad performance. Reverb does not help to correct the vocal performance of a tortured man who cannot sing. I cannot find a part that has something of a genre Reggae, so why this genre?

Bop review

Here’s a cool song by zap and the wires, this is a nice slow rock song with a very good feel going on,the instrumentation and vocals are very strong and the hook is very catchy. The arrangement and recording process is very nicely done. The quality of the recording is nicely done as well.I enjoy reviewing this band cause there’s so many different styles of creativity in all of the tracks, and that’s what makes a good band great.

Vibes!

I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. I can tell you have your heart and soul into what you do. Keep on pushing and never give up or get distracted in pursuing the dream of making it. I like the instrumental blend of sounds with some vocals and the production on the track is good. Keep up the great work! Peace!!!

On Fire

One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we're enjoying yet another completely different sound that we should now come to expect from Zap. Each song Zap releases is unique in style and approach. Always well performed, mixed and produced. An interesting blend of Seattle Grunge vibe from the 90's here. Keep making music!

A LISTENERS VIEWPOINT

Helpful

recording standards good. good production. you`ve already stated that its too long! and you are correct it is a long track which would struggle to hold most listeners attentions. with todays short attention spans ... i also think it takes awhile to get into the strength of the song and requires something to grab you right from the start. a overall well played .sung song . well done ;-)
