Song Reviews
Good track
Thank you very much for sending me the song for review! Wow, what a great dance tune, it reminds me when I go to Amsterdam to dance in clubs, they play stuff like yours, well, now to your song! Very interesting idea, first of all, the sound is great, very tight and powerful, all the variations very well thought and produced. I love the feel inside and the mistery you have created with this song, those deep percussions sounding really very well and fitting great inside the song, those monter voices also very nice and the synths are great, congratulations on such a great dance song, keep it up man! Cool Song
Just wish there was a little more bass/low end to the overall master. Seems very high on the high end frequencies but seems to taper the lower in frequency you get. I'd recommend turning up the bass and adjusting things in the mix first then using an EQ on the master to get a better sound. Might also add more impact to the drumset so it punches out of the mix (punchy kicks, biting snare, tickling tinsel-y hihats) to keep the overall rhythm of the song. Vocals could also be produced slightly more. Overall mix instruments could use more reverb used in certain places to add more space/atmosphere to the song (the more background the element the bigger the reverb, drumsets get small room or smaller reverbs for example).

Zap & The Wires "Magnetation"
Zap & The Wires "Magnetation" For a profile that s listing the genres as Rock, Country Rock and Reggae with the release of "Magnetation" Zap and the wires heads off in a new direction. On my first listen I thought this is a pop song and perhaps some smoother female vocals would make it better and more commercial. On the second listen I heard a bit more of the electric guitar and thought maybe that should come up just a little in the mix and also tought perhaps the tempo is kind of a bit like a laid back Reggae song Zaps vocals here certainly sound like the Reggae party has been happening for a while now. And some people might think the country rock is more on track. But when given a secong listen "Magnetation" appears to be a somewhat interesting and unique song. I kind of felt like I wanted it to go a little something more somehow one way or another. What about real drums I thought and hearing the guitar more? Or in a different direction with female vocals and another layer of pop fluff. Magnetation does offer something a bit different and new as it is. Have a listen!

Oh cool :)
Hi how are you. I think you did a great job recording this. The mix is pretty big and open and clear. I like the backing vocals. You did a great job! I like that it has its own atmosphere. Good work!

Song floating around in space and on the net
I always review when playing the song. First impression. I miss lowend to give the song more power. Use your favorite reference tracks for comparison and try to match that quality. Relaxed vocal...makes me think of bands like Beck. Nice harmonies. The drive is fine but needs more impact for my taste...that's mixing territory for some part. I would not begin with the atmospherical sounds immediately. Emphasize your instruments more, and try to build it up. A little more variation in the arrangement keeps the listener on his toes. My personal taste...I would begin quietly, build it up with adding sounds, and increase the difference in dynamics between beginning and ending. Maybe a vocal harmony solo. At the end more low end power from guitar or synth pad or sweep...and remember: I am just an amateur making computermusic and the review is about MY personal taste...Enjoy the music !

A review of a song Magnetation
I personally like this style of music very much. Reminds me of the bands Depeche Mode, dr. Adamski etc. The melody of the voice is "catchy", but too repetitive for my taste, as are the lyrics. After the second chorus, I would either end the song or add a new bridge or maybe a guitar solo. The song is too long, shortening it would help it become a hit.

Vibes!!!
I like the originality of your work. Strong message and creativity is a big plus. Good production, I can hear some good vocals to this, good job on the final mix-down. I can tell you have your heart and soul into what you do. Keep on pushing and never give up or get distracted in pursuing the dream of making it. I like the instrumental blend of sounds with some vocals and the production on the track is good. Keep up the great work! Peace!!!

Poetic in beat!
Hi Zap! Great beginning! Love the way you build the beginning! Also good use of words and love the way you break into your harmony which is very well done and sort of changes the style for a brief moment! Even though you have a lot going on with your production you have done very well in bringing it all into together and creating these moments in your song. Your beat is a nice catchy style as it is repeated. But great job!! Rachel :-)

Cool Psychedelic Pop
"Magnetation" is a unusual long pop song that showcases their cool vocal style and blends them seamlessly in a way that is both fresh and captivating. The song sounds monotone, the melody has notreallyhighs and lows, but i think this is their stylein this song. i thin this is planned as is. The production of the song is top, for me always important are the vocals and i could follow the lyrics. good mix. i do not think that this is genre Reggae or techno. i would add genre psychedelic.

bella partenza

Magnetized by Magnetation
I am diehard fan of Zap & The Wires. Your music is absolutely amazing, and this is no different. The track gives me a Taylor Swift vibe. As I listened to it, I was drawn in by the flow and arrangement of the lyrics, but what really drew me into to this song, those harmonies. The way those vocals are so well blended, and those harmonies are so tight... Perfection!!!! Please keep up the awesome work and if you will check out my music, and tell me what you think. Keep creating more hit songs!!!

Review
This song is remarkably unique, and it carries the energy that mdern music inquires for the fans of both old and new era. As a critique I would focus more on the buildup and the chorus aspects of the song or instrumentation. The chorus is essentially the climax of the entire embodiment of a song and it should almost always inspire the energy that a listener is seeking to relate towards. All in all, great work. This song is remarkably unique, and it carries the energy that mdern music inquires for the fans of both old and new era.
