Gotta Love The Blues
This guy's voice is great and it's perfect for this song. I love to listen to the blues when I get high and this is the kind of tune I could put in heavy rotation. That heavy, walkin, blues bass goes straight through me. The lyrics are somewhat personal, but hey, I didn't write it, I just like it. It's a solid blues tune sung by a guy who needs to find an agent for that voice. Bro, you'd clean up doing voiceovers.

Misguided & Misdirected review. this song is a strictly Blues piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Blues style as I said everything recalls the Blues genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Blues piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

Johnny Cash of the New Jersey prog ghetto
Zap and the wires have a certain touch of the psychedelics and sentiment with this fun festival vibe of progressive pop and with a semi rap vocal delivery like a hybrid of Johnny Cash and Grandmaster Flash on really good sativa.Simlpicity at it's most sentimental you can feel the love these guys have for the oddballs of this world and the catharsis they get from channeling it into something quirly, sweet and memorable.I look forward to hearing the direction they take. The guitars and treatments are almost Zappa like as is the subject matter but also there are elements of Roky Ericson here and even Darrel Pandy after a few good ales and maybe some whiskey and a jamba or two.All in all this is a sweet recording with a good honest and unpretentious production. All the textures work for the track and I particularly like the almost Johnny Cash delivery which here and there also reminds me of the count from Sesame street not in a negative way.Yes,this is unltimately 'the blues',it is a blues in it's base but without all the usual histrionics that tend to go with the genre, there are no widdly guitars or rock clichés as this is a blues played by musicians who have a good sense of what suits the song they have composed and instead using synthy treatments almost like Eno's 70's works and even Roxy Music.Would love to hear more from Zap and the wires soon.Reallgreat festival/campfire stuff.

Uniquely Satisfying
Upon the initial listen I was tempted to dismiss this band as simplistic, but upon continued listening began to feel that besides offering something unique that it could grow on you with time. The smooth guitar solo work while simple had a sound reminiscent of early Spirit. The vocals are maybe not everyones cup of tea, yet are quite sufficient in tone and somehow suited to the musical intent of the the group. This is a group that has the musical sense to do much, as long as they remain experimental and do not carry on with a singular sound.

Misguided and Misdirected
Like the song, but I think it would work better with a female voice or to sing it instead of talking it. Or at least it seems like the vocals were not singing. I think the vocals should show up sooner than they did. Instrumental in the beginning for as long as it was made me want to turn it off.

Groovin'
Interesting mix... the riff has a kazoo like texture. Vocals are a spoken sense kinda like a slow rap but more musical. The artist calls this song blues, I would classify it more as garage band but either way its a nice groove. I can see jumping in the car, windows down and taking this along on a nice long cruise in the country!

A Good Start
It's a nice tune. I like the instrumentation. The tempo is a little too slow, causing it to drag. The intro was a little too long, I was surprised when the lyrics finally came in. The mix could use another pass, less reverb on the drums and make them a little louder. I'd also bring up the bass a bit more, there is not enough boom to sustain the bap. The lyrics are clever and well performed.

right out of the 50's , old time soul / blues . Lot's of rhythm , bass and Jimmi Hendrix doing the vocals . All this was missing is a stellar guitar solo and it's top of the charts . Loved this gimmie more , Cliff

Misunderstood
This is unusually awful until the guitar began, then it perked up a bit. I do not have the slightest doubt that Zap has bundles of talent but disappointed that he could not see that this is abysmal. Who cares about his ridiculous girlfriends? Anybody? The singing takes an age to start and, when it does, is just not worth the wait. I look forward to hearing a different song sometime in the future.
