The Well of Tears review

I'll start by saying, all in all, not a bad song. When I write a review, I always assume the artist is either trying to get a record deal or a publishing deal. So my comments are based on this assumption. When dealing with almost everyone in the industry that can help you move forward with any success, you have to follow what their 'format of the day' is. One of the current things is shorter songs (around three to three and a half minutes) and you are right in there with 3:35. Another key point is trying to end your song with the hook or title. You've done that also. Then we need to get to the chorus as soon as possible. The people listening to your song normally won't spend three to four minutes of their busy day to hear the entire song unless it catches their attention quickly. They want to hear the hook as soon as possible. Here is where you could possibly rework your song to get it out sooner. It seems you go from your verses to a B section and then verse again before the first sign of a chorus. If you can remix that it may help. I would also try and get a stronger track behind your vocals. When you record, you are putting out something that will be there forever! So, use the best players you can on it. Listen closely to your song and pick out the weakest part or parts and consider having a stronger player on that part to make it the very best it can be. Good luck moving forward with you music. Keep writing!

Nice!

Nice hard guitar lead, I like the production sound and the 80's-90's rock feel of the track. I can feel the heart in this showing you've put in some dedicated work on your art. I love the message More artist should study the roots of their culture of art more to be better at their own art. Keep up the good work and stay in the lab creating new material to stay fresh and on your toes. If you're ever looking for a hip hop collaboration hit me up I'm versatile. Peace!

your song

hi there guys, thanks a lot for sending me your song to review it. I like this song, very nice made. The voice is rare but special and goes well with this type of music, you remind me The Cure. The guitars sounds great on both channels, great stereo field, the drums and the bass are also sounding great in the middle. I love the lyrics too, very well written, the guitar solo is great and the sound is very penetrant. I could hear every detail inside the song, great productions guys, keep that job up, greetings from Germany, Alfredo

Not much to say, I like it :)

Very nice guitar and solo that gives a good dynamic. I think it's one of those songs that the more you listen to it and the more you like it. I first listened to the music and then read the lyrics that fload very well with the music. The voice is not the typical "perfect voice" but I think it goes very well with the type of music. Maybe I would have add more choruses? But it's just my personal taste and not a big thing. I've liked this song :)

Catchy!!

I like the melody and the music choice, however the music is slightly louder than your vocals. Other than that I think that this song is very catchy. Hope to hear more from you, keep pushing.

Not my style

I wanted to pass on reviewing your song because this is not my style of music that I like. You list it as rock - it's not rock - I don't know what it is. Nice sounding lead guitar. Vocals need improvement

Niçe guitar intro. I feel the Songs sounds a like a style Ive heard from the eighty. Which is a good thing. Interesting use of vocals and a good lyrical narrative, along with rock guitar solo make this song easy to listen to .

Runs like a champion

The song The Well Of Tears from Zap & The Wires begins with a smooth end easy to follow intro. It is like the good old times of Rock when everybody was listening to it. The Journey continues by being amused of the clean played song and the good old times of rock where in my thoughts by listening to this song. Remember when many bands played music like this and everywhere you went you could hear it. This song is an easy to listen and very simple song for everybody who likes guitar music in an easy way. Enjoy listening this song. The Cows

Blues modern

This is a good rock psychedelic song, but there's a blues background inside. The voice is spontaneous and quiet, while the audio is a little low to listen. It's a professional job. Well done.

In MY Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the guitar work.Think about a little less process or another type of process being used on the vocals. Vocals are sort of muddy - not clear and crisp. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Review Well of Tears - By LaSueede

Hello ! Good intro with a phaser guitar and a building up with some nice tunes. When you start to singing the voice is not really in tune and maybe the drums sounds to mechanic. The guitar solo in the middle/end gives some pretty good feeling but your voice is not suitable in your song, but the underlying music is pretty ok with some twinkling. Maybe you should find a nice background of a combination with a grand piano and underlying soft synth (middle tunes). May´be find some more natural drums too? Regards LaSueede

The Well Of Tears

Hi Zap, this has been a long time coming, but i've just taken a listen and i really like the moodiness and tempo of the song. The guitar intro is particularly nice and very tuneful. Great playing and also lovely tone, that goes for the solo as well. There were times when you voice seemed to lift up a bit, this was particularly good for the song as a whole, as it lifted the mood and catchiness quite a bit, as opposed to the other lower keyed parts, not a bad thing though, as it tends to draw more attention to the song. This of course, is what you want, for the listener to stay all the way through to the end. The guitar playing is also lovely and under-stated and adds a lovely, warm feel to the song. All in all a great effort and very well done and well executed. Keep up the good work David Butler

Happy sounds.

The guitar at the top sounds like a lively BTO tune, and the vocals don't disappoint either. I really like the groove of this song, and it's easy to enjoy and definitely deserves to be recognized as really good song I wish these guys all the luck. A really nice feel makes the song really enjoyable.
