I liked the guitar sound alot on this tunes. I also enjoyed the vocals & lyrics. I would have like to see what real drums & drummer would sound like. (Sounds like a drum machine to me although I may be mistaken). It also had some hip hop leanings with the scratching. I would have rathered heard it as a true blues/funk sound! I do think the song itself has possibilities. Glad I checked it out!

I'm not sure, but I think I really like it!
This tune really took me for spin, and I went through a whole lot of "What Tha!" I mean it was a crazy mix of Rock with some Soul and a really funny subject line. "Set Me Free". I finally realized it was done in that comical story telling style of Frank Zappa, and how he used to do it with his tunes. So then I found myself listening to it again! And again! Just to see if I missed anything. All I could say is that it is stuck in my head now. Thanks Zap & The Wires. And for that I gave it 5 Stars! (Oh yeah, good production too guys.)

A.D.B Review
Instrumental pretty funky! Sounded a little outdated in the beginning but the guitar added some validity to it. The audio content is cool. I like that it's not R&Bish, not much melody but more like a rhyme scheme in a hip hop record. Overall the beat was okay, the lyrics straight but the production could of been polished. Furthermore I give it 2.5

Fun Jam
I like the DJ sounds in the beginning. The guitar is actually pretty good. This song is laid back, drink your best drink, and roll all over kind of song. A little like an old 80's party. Definitely recommend.

Zap & The Wires - Set Me Free
"If you're an artist, you've got to prove it." and Zap and The Wires does just that with "Set Me Free" A blues/funk tune with a lay back lyric delivery and driven blues guitar solo, Njoyed listening to it and I think U will too.

Freakland
The song Set Me Free from Zap & The Wires introduces with am freaky guitar solo made from freak land. It introduces you to a song quite funny in the surrounding but the matter is really serious. The freaky guitar goes on and on and it is nice to listen to another excellent song from this band. Enjoy listening to a music that brings you out of the normal way into a different world and you can think about something new, this song supports you in thinking different, enjoy listening. the cows

Sweet!!
Love this funky blues! The rhythm guitar sets the base of the funk, the clean solo guitar with a touch of BB King is a delight to hear instead of trying to put as many notes in the shortest time possible. Together with the Prince inspired drum sound the track is a good way of being really good. But the voice is mixed too low to match, and it's difficult to hear what seems to be a really good and fun lyric! Also the synth sounds and scratchings are a little bit too much for my taste, maybe take them down a notch (or two? ;) ) in the mix? You really don't need them to make this a REALLY good one!

yes
Set Me Free is a very easy piece, very cheeky, very unconventional, knows what he has to say and says without ifs and buts. I love this slightly funky guitar that gives that naive touch to the piece and makes it very engaging and nice. the soul blues feels, you breathe in all its beauty and presence with emphasis comes out into the open and is admired in all its beauty and majesty. you did a great job

I Liked it!
The first few bars of a song usually tells me to stay or leave, but it was an interesting intro and I'm glad I stayed when I heard the Bass line walk it in to the crazy 3 part Blues groove with the guitar on Top. You got a 'rare' (5) from me on this one, Zap & the Wires. It all just mixed and grooved right along with the story. The guitar solo at the bridge was 'nice' and even 'better' when you took around a 2nd time...which is another reason for the 5 rating. The cherry on top was that added guitar riff going out on the vamp at the end. You 'really' killed it, doing that. I'd of given you a higher rating for that, but it only goes to 5. Great Job! on this one, man. Good Luck on your music adventure here on N1Music, my friends!.....gizzmow, Bonham, Texas

Incredible Blues
If you're a blues fan, you're going to love this song! This is blues at it's finest. The flow of the rhythm is so, so graceful! When I close my eyes and hear this amazing piece, I am taken far away, to a land where taxes are non-existent, and the government doesn't siphon money out of the general public to fund their greasy institutions. A land that floweth over with milk and honey. At a time when there is so much strife in the world, humanity needs to hear this song, and analyze how well the melody flows.

Break his heart, if only...
I quite like the way this bounces along despite not having much a tune to it. The singing is also very bluesy and it is a bit of shame it was indistinct in places. The music is far too loud to be sung to and would be more appropriate if it was used as a backing track. Even so, there is no doubting that this 'group' are talented and could well achieve great things in the future. Worth watching out for.
