Review of "Playing After Dark"
This song is completely deceptive (in a great way!), as you fall into the almost 'poppy' sound of the music and the cool rythem riff, you then get a blast of a singer who reminds me of one of the Ramones, or a singer of that ilk. This song is tight as nails musically, and in my opinion, is completely driven by the vocal sty lings of the lead singer- and the double up on the vocals was genius. This song almost tricks you into thinking it's something it isn't, and as it moves along, it gives you a great hint of the days of punk....moved forward by the singers voice and style- Good Song now in my playlist- Respectfully Dave/CHRONIC PAIN

Dark Indeed
One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. When we get this song which opens like a late 60's The Who compilation, I can't wait to hear what's next. Unfortunately, the vocals here are lost in the mud of production, which may be a good thing.

Different, an different is usually good. This song has some neat stuff in it and a cool jamming vibe. The issue I personally feel comes down to the mix and the levels of each instrument. The vocals are quite low in a few spots and I feel the production overall could use work. But the version here works!

Playing After Dark.

An Original Sounding Song!!
An interesting fusion of styles containing elements of rock and punk, a great guitar solo and a strong voice. Well produced with a bass line straight out of Crocodile Dundee that great film!! Brilliant job!!

Zap! Bash! Boom! Bang!!
I like the music, the sound and heart of this band. Very nice guitar work, good rhythm and strong beat. Lead vocals make you want to climb into the music and take a ride. Jump in with both feet. Good sound. Likeable.

Zap & the wires. Quite like the name! Pretty good song, good fusion of rock with classic ska sounds. The bass drum unfortunately drowns out a lot of the rest, so that’s the only thing I don’t like. Good use of guitar effects, but can’t really hear the vocals all that clearly. Timing’s quite tight, and in a ska setup that is very important to achieve. Bass is great, and since I’m a bassist myself I’m automatically biased ????. I like a bass which is audible, one which can felt. Keep it going lads, there’s definitely space for your music out there!

Zap and the Wires, "Playing After Dark"
Upon first listen to Zap and the Wires original composition, "Playing After Dark" - I am immediately impressed by their originality, in addition to the excellent performance, production and songcraft. While Zap and the Wires could be seen as being influenced by some of the better ska bands of the 80's, in no way could it be said that their unique sound is at all derivative. Check 'em out!

yes
the piece is presented with an overwhelming rhythm a little ska, a little funky and also a little rock. reading the instructions for use says to shake many times first slowly and then quickly and then pour into the ears. what came out of it?a great mix, simple, immediate, captivating, slightly scratchy but cold at the right point.a cocktail of music to listen to whenever you want, with whom you want and where you want.well indeed very well

Funny Ska/Punk
Ska / Punk fun music ideal for the party and also for driving. I would say that it has influence from the British bands of the 70's / 80's. Are they really from New Jersey? Good Music. I recommend it to you. Greetings from Spain.

Nice
Nice Job! sounds very original can hear it blaring in a New York Club. Guitar is very tight and the vovals remind me of Mick Jagger and David Bowie on Acid. Wow they really make you write a lot of words in a review!
