About ZèD
ZèD are an alt-rock group who play a powerful fusion of psych and stoner rock.
Hailing from the Champagne-Ardenne region of France, they’re based in Reims, a city better known for its BOOZE and CHURCHES than for ROCK n ROLL
The ZèD we know today started out under the name of “PULSE” in 1996. The group toured extensively and released a self-titled album with NOVA EXPRESS RECORDS before imploding in 2000.
After a 15 year hiatus the band got back together, minus the original singer. A new female singer was recruited in his place, and they changed their name to ZèD to reflect the new line-up.
Manic energy and a unique signature sound have always been central to the group’s identity, and the tweaked line-up has kept this originality intact. It’s an originality that, from the very first note, sets them apart from the recycled, clichéd melodies that clutter the airwaves today. Their creative identity is theirs alone, and their sound is unmistakeable.
As well as several concerts in 2016, Zed released a 5-song EP for the holidays – a self-released, DIY affair with an energy that won’t fail to seduce anyone, young or old, in need of some HIGH VOLTAGE.
Highlight : a cover of “Hallo Spaceboy” in heartfelt tribute to David Bowie
The group is now on the road, performing at numerous concerts and festivals. They are looking for a manager/booking agent, and any form of support is welcome!
