Many of the musicians I grew up listening to have died from either drugs or suicide. They have killed themselves. This seems to be a statistically high hazard of the rock star job strangely. I felt compelled to write this song after the death of not only Chris Cornell but also Keith Flint around the same time. Apparently suicide is the highest killer of men under 50 in the UK, our society is fatally flawed. I once played a demo of this song to a friend who I only knew online. I didnt know them too well but they were chill and had good music taste, often putting on interesting and obscure sounds for our room to listen to. I told them what the song was about and they liked it. However this person sometimes spoke of a demon they were haunted by and one day they never came back. We are pretty sure from the things they said that it was suicide. This song ends with the simple and overt lyrics to really hammer the message home. Please, dont kill yourself.
