Wood, water, muscles, bashers, concrete. Zrni is a game. We’re all gipsies, coal zen of Kladno. We met on high school. Straggled in different classes, we met few times in the hall, carrying our instruments about and we got to know each other by the deal, that we’ll earn some money busking in the Prague street Celetna. On weekends we were hitchhiking, as students, Kladno – Prague, on the street we played: violin, recorder, guitar, singing, sometimes some drums and with some money we were returning to Kladno. I remember the 23rd December, only two of us, classically this time: recorder and violin, hands are freezing and for half an hour we’re surrounded by curious kids from kindergarten with their teacher, which is pleasant, hands are crimson, tourists are unable to get nearer and we earn nothing, then the police goes: „Gentlemen...“ and we’re going home. No money, no presents.
But it was somehow mysteriously amusing. Later on we started meeting more often, thanks to music we became friends through and through, we tramped and everywhere we went, we took our instruments with us. We began writing our own songs and promised fidelity come life, come death. And that we’ll also become the most famous band of all times. We called it Zrni.
